The Pre-Professional program is one of the most elite in the United States, and is by audition only. A commitment to the performing arts is essential, and the younger students (ages 8-12) study a minimum of 6 classes weekly, plus three Saturdays per month. Older students (ages 13-18) study a minimum of 10 -15 classes (10-20 hours weekly, plus 2-3 Saturdays per month) in all forms of performing arts: Classical Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Contemporary, Lyrical, Hip Hop, Musical Theatre, Voice, Acting, and Conditioning classes.
Students in this program take all weekly classes with other Chambers students, inspiring and learning from one another. All Pre-Professional students are members of SCDC, our non-profit performing arts company. There are several opportunities for performance throughout the season.
Producing the best-rounded performer is the goal of this program and is proven at the top conservatories in the United States, with our former students who are currently on Broadway, as Radio City Rockettes, and performing with professional companies.
