Assisting our Community for 40 Years

We are proud to offer assistance to our regional and local organizations:

The mission of Swift School is to prepare children with dyslexia and related language-based learning differences to be successful in life. We will strive to accomplish this mission by teaching them specific learning strategies and skills and by identifying and fully developing their talents. To do so, we will create an environment that is exciting, challenging, and supportive.

The Pink Affair is an annual fundraising event benefiting TurningPoint Women's Healthcare in Johns Creek, GA.

In 2002 the Zeta Tau Alpha (ZTA) North Fulton Link alumnae chapter hosted the very first Pink Affair silent auction to benefit ZTA’s Foundation and National Philanthropy - Breast Cancer Education and Awareness. Each year since, The Pink Affair has benefited ZTA Foundation; however, the alumnae decided that 75% of proceeds should benefit non profit organizations in the local community involved in breast cancer research, awareness, support, rehabilitation and/or education.

In 2007 TurningPoint Women's Healthcare was selected as one of the local beneficiaries of the event. And, almost immediately a "partnership" of friendship and support between the The Pink Affair Event Committee and TurningPoint began.

After 11 years the ZTA North Fulton Link Alumnae Chapter and The Pink Affair have raised over $300,000 in the fight against breast cancer.

ZTA North Fulton Link and The Pink Affair Event Committee are thrilled to be joining forces with TurningPoint Women’s Healthcare in 2013 to make The Pink Affair an annual fundraising event that will solely benefit TurningPoint Women’s Healthcare for many years to come.

Did you know there are over 1600 foster children in your own community?

In Support of Fulton County Department of Family and Children Services (DFCS) through the Fulton County Foster Parents Association, CHAMBERS PERFORMING ARTS, along with YOUR HELP, is collecting unwrapped toys to take to and distribute to the 13th Annual Holiday Party for Foster children ages 0-Teenagers. We are proud to offer support of foster children each year, and could not do it without your kindness and generosity.

DFCS is the part of DHS that investigates child abuse; finds foster homes for abused and neglected children; helps low income, out-of-work parents get back on their feet; assists with childcare costs for low income parents who are working or in job training; and provides numerous support services and innovative programs to help troubled families.

Please drop off unwrapped gifts to either studio BEFORE DECEMBER 12 of each season.

Vanessa, a CHAMBERS ALUM, just graduated from the prestigious program at NYU with a Masters Degree in Dance Education for Higher Education and Professions-but she also loves teaching at a Mineola, New York dance studio: JHL Dance Dynamics.

Unfortunately, tragedy struck so much of the East Coast when Hurricane Sandy hit: lives were lost and billions of dollars of damage was done. JHL Dance Dynamics was forced to shut down for almost two weeks, and is just now beginning to return to a regular schedule--but many students lost everything from their homes to their first pair of pointe shoes. Vanessa reached out to her home studio gratefully asking for anything that we could spare that is dance related: shoes, tights, leotards, jazz shorts, jazz pants, t-shirts--anything at all.

If you buy your student a new leotard or dance item this holiday season, please consider recycling one of their gently used ones and donating it to kids who have literally lost almost everything. You can drop off at either studio and let us know that it is for Hurricane Sandy dancers. Again, we thank you for your generosity.

Thanks for your continued generosity.

Brookwood Elementary opened in August, 2009, with approximately 800 students from Big Creek, Johns Creek and Sharon Elementary Schools.

Mrs. Kathie Braswell is the school’s first principal. The school was named after the early Brookwood community, whose name reflects the wooded landscape and abundance of small, natural fresh water streams located in Forsyth County.
