Achievements - College Placement

Our students in our Pre-Professional Program spend many years training to either have to a professional performing career or gain entry and scholarship(s) into some of the top universities, conservatories, and colleges in the United States. And we have an extremely strong emphasis on the academics that each student participates in daily. We check their grades every six weeks to ensure that each student is on task to succeed in both academics and in performing arts.

We meet with parents individually, as there is not one set path that a student will take to gain entry to a musical theatre or dance program, or the professional world. Here are just three examples of different paths from our Alums:

  • From Radio City Rockette at age 18 then on to Dance Scholarship at Conservatory:
Chambers Alum (Kelsey) was hired as the youngest Radio City Rockette, and put her college scholarship on hold. Following her first season with the Radio City Rockettes, she returned to her held spot at Point Park University-top five in the United States for dance.
  • From several Broadway shows, National Tours, and Radio City Rockette then on to Ivy League University:
On the other hand, Paige Chambers Rutsche, Chambers Alum and current Co-Director, appeared in her first Broadway show while still in high school and then after appearing in ten shows, along with the Radio City Rockettes, graduated from the Ivy League University of Pennsylvania and the Wharton School.
  • Dance Scholarship at College and then on to Radio City Rockette, Cats:
Chambers Alum Carolyn Simpson attended the University of Georgia on the Hope and Dance scholarships. Upon graduation, she was selected to become a Radio City Rockette, and then on to other shows, such as Cats.

Chambers Performing Arts has contacts with the Directors of musical theatre and dance programs at many top schools where our alum are proud to attend. Our Alum who are currently, or have previously, perform on Broadway and with the Radio City Rockettes also strive to assist those coming up through the training at Chambers Performing Arts.
