Chambers Performing Arts - Testimonials

“The Broadway show Billy Elliot saw my son Ethan at audition in NYC in October 2010 and loved him but knew he needed a much higher level of tap skills to be considered for the show. Billy Elliot dance staff interviewed potential tap coaches in Atlanta and chose Jennifer Paige Chambers Rutsche at Chambers Performing Arts. What a blessing that has been for us and especially Ethan as Paige has taken Ethan under her wing and guided him thru many hours of hard work to a much higher level in just over one year. After many private tap lessons and a year and a half later, he signed his contract and is a co-star in one of Broadway’s biggest shows-Billy Elliot in June 2012!”

"After trying several dance studios in the area, I found that Chambers and SCDC had a fabulous training program with styles in performing arts that I couldn’t find at other studios.  Not only do they have a broad range of programs, but each program provides advanced training in both technique and performance.  Coming in as an older dancer to the studio and company, I was quickly welcomed and supported by all members of the school, students and teachers alike.  The demanding yet encouraging environment helped me become the performer I am today, make friends that I’ll never forget, and get into a one of the top college musical theatre programs in the country."

"After finding our area direly lacking in a professional level of triple-threat performing arts training we decided to research studios in the Atlanta area. We chose Chambers and moved our daughter 200 miles to attend! We have stayed with Chambers due to consistently continuing progress, an ideal array of instructors and outstanding performance opportunities! Because of the training and education she received she has attended the Broadway Theatre Project, been a featured extra in movies, co-starred in a stage play, choreographed a nationally televised opening number and is currently filming her first feature film as a principle actor (and singer/dancer)."

“I myself started with Chambers 12 years ago and now three of my children study everyday with Chambers, and two are members of SCDC. I cannot say enough about what it has taught my children: Confidence, discipline, listening skills, and hard work.  The friendships they have built, the confidence they have gained and the skills they have learned, cannot be replicated anywhere. I am forever grateful for what these teachers have taught my children and the inspiration they provide them cannot be matched. The love of dance and performing that has been instilled in them is something I will be forever grateful for.“

“My training at Chambers was the only reason I was able to perform in so many diverse shows on Broadway from the understudy in Broadway’s biggest show, The Producers, to technically heavy dance shows (Cats) to tap heavy favorites (Radio City Rockettes and 42nd Street). Today you must be a true triple threat, but also have the ballet, tap, jazz, and hip hop technique to go along with a fabulous voice and acting skills. I am forever grateful to all staff members of Chambers and have been in some of the biggest shows on Broadway due my training and preparation from Chambers.”

"Having classes everyday and rehearsals on the weekends at Chambers forced me to be smart with my time management from an early age. I also feel that dance instilled in me a work ethic and respect for teachers/authority that carried into the rest of my life. And then of course, I also gained a tremendous amount of appreciation for dance."

“I am extremely grateful to have found such an amazing studio filled with top notch instructors who are not only great teachers, but are also great role models and mentors. Although this is only our second year at Chambers my daughter has developed so much grace, poise, and confidence as a dancer, singer, and actress. I truly appreciate that these experiences have provided her with the means to express herself artistically in a professional and family friendly environment. Chambers is not only a place for my daughter to pursue her passion, it is also a place for her to realize the possibilities that exist within herself. I look forward to many years to come, as I watch her love for the arts to continue to grow.”

“Chambers Performing Arts, along with SCDC allowed Sara to learn self-discipline and time management skills. Attending school and dance full time requires much focused study habits which are essential to being successful.  She was able master her academic grades as an honor graduate while still participating in SCDC, and maintaining a 3.68 GPA-all while taking classes every day. Chambers Performing Arts will teach your performer/dancer the art of the industry and the discipline to master it.

Although my child will not be majoring in dance in her college years, she has been able to obtain her scholarship with the experiences she learned at SCDC and at school.  Her passion is for the theater and her decision to pursue stage management will allow her to always be directly involved with the performance world.”
